The Brothers In Blood Tour rolled into Vegas Saturday night at the Dive Bar and we were not quite sure what to expect, we had only previously seen Shattered Sun in Vegas last year coming fresh off the Vans Warped Tour, Pissing Razors was new to Vegas fans, and Skinlab haven't toured in a long while...
But let’s start with SHATTERED SUN, a young up and coming band out of Texas with tons of potential and equal amount of talent. Shattered Sun are a hard rockin metal band led by Marcos Leal who slays it on vocals, with Jesse Santos on lead guitar, Daniel Trejo on rhythm guitar, Joseph Guajardo on drums and Henry Garza on keys and backing vocals. Once again these boys killed it, they had a very impressive set and set the tone for what was to come for the rest of the Blood Tour night...

We were totally blown away by PISSING RAZORS! We asked Pissing Razors bassist Geo Gomez if they ever played Vegas before, and he could not recall ever playing here. Pissing Razors from El Paso Texas I believe stole the show, they have been around off and on for over 20 years now, and it’s hard to believe they are not playing bigger rooms. Pissing Razors brand of groove metal with a blast of punk thrown in had the crowd jumping and moshing - with their hard steady beat that made it nearly impossible to stand still. Pissing Razors is led by Joe Rodriguez - vocals, Matt Lynch - guitars, Geo Gomez - bass and Eddy Garcia – drums. They are a must see band and one of the 'best of' at the Dive Bar.

Now it was time for the headlining band from the Bay area, SKINLAB, who killed it for this Brothers in Blood night!! Skinlab is another hard rockin / groove metal band with an imposing singer in Steev Esquivel. Steev is a giant of a man who really brings it on the vocals. Joining Steev it is Paul Hopkins – drums, Steve "Snake" Green – guitar, backing vocals and Marcos Medina Rivera – guitar. Before the show Marcos informed us that we were in for 'the heavy' and would really enjoy what the band was playing. Lead singer Steev proclaimed it’s been awhile since they toured, but they will continue until the wheels fall off this thing called Skinlab. Playing under dark moody lighting, Skinlab delivered a brutal set that finished off a kickass night of metal.
