EARTHLESS Brings a Psychedelic Show of Light and Sound to Beauty Bar

The Beauty Bar has had some great shows through the past couple years, and I can tell you that the EARTHLESS show was one of the best show we have ever covered there. When we walked into the Beauty Bar back lot we were surprised at the size of the crowd and glad to see such a great turnout for this band. There was wall to wall people, which shows that psychedelic / stoner rock is alive and well in las Vegas.

We first saw Earthless last summer at the Psycho Las Vegas festival where they played the main stage, and they were amazing just as they were on this night. It was a bit nippy out, and the Beauty Bar had space heaters spread out through the crowd in the outdoor show area, but the music was on fire.

Earthless opened the show with a killer 30 minute jam, and is a band that is know for long jams and very little vocals. Earthless consists of guitarist Isaiah Mitchell, bassist Mike Eginton and drummer Mario Rubalcaba, and the thing that really stood out and made this show unique was the band also had five overhead projectors and two video projectors producing the most amazing psychedelic light show you could ever want or hope to see. It was a pure flashback to the glory days of the 60’s with the power trios and their oil and food coloring light shows for small venues across the country. Isaiah Mitchell is a very underrated guitar player, and played non-stop for almost 2 hours. Mitchell's playing weaves you in and out of each song as bassist Mike Eginton and drummer Mario Rubalcaba play some of the meanest beats, and are a huge part of the bands' sound. Stellar musicians all around., and once again this was one of the best shows we've seen in downtown Las Vegas - this band will totally blown away.
