STAR TREATMENTS FUNDRAISING BENEFIT featuring COREY TAYLOR w JASON CHRISTOPHER,  CHERRY BOMBS, BRAVO DELTA, WORDS AS WEAPONS & CHASE GRIJALVA at FREMONT COUNTRY CLUB

Once again the Las Vegas music community helped out with another great cause, with a charity benefit for STAR TREATMENTS, an organization that provides a VIP transportation experience for children battling cancer to medical facilities. Star Treatments was founded as a non-profit organization by Matt DiRito (bassist for the rock band Pop Evil), and inspired by one little girl who won her battle with cancer.

"High end tour busses with all the comforts and amenities of home sit idle when they’re not booked, while children across America drive for hours in pain; to and from their chemo treatments. Our business is bringing the two together, at no cost to the family."

Star Treatments subscribes to the belief that positive experiences and quality time with friends and family are critical components in the healing process. On this night this event raised a total of $20,450, with a silent auction with some items ranging from signed guitars, a book signed by Ozzy, and some amazing photographs by some of Las Vegas’s top concert photographers.

Arriving early for this event there was a line already around the building, with fans of the performers excited to see what was to come, and the show kickedoff with locals CHASE GRIJALVA, followed by WORDS AS WEAPONS, and this was the band's very first show -  and they killed it and won over many new fans. BRAVO DELTA was next on the bill, one of the more experienced bands playing the Vegas area today. After a brief break it was the all female entertainment group THE CHERRY BOMBS, who’s show encompassed elements of dance, aerial arts, fire arts, pole dancing, hooping, singing, and general badassery.

Matt DiRito came out and gave a brief message about Star Treatments, and introduced COREY TAYLOR who headlined the show and performed an acoustic set, along with a man he called his very best friend - Jason Christopher (bassist for Prong). Corey came out solo at first and performed a few songs, and the song that got the biggest reaction was the theme from Sponge Bob Square Pants. There was a sing along of "Who’ll Stop the Rain" by Creedence Clearwater Revival, and then Jason then joined Corey onstage and the two performed together for about 40 minutes before Jason Christopher left the stage, and Corey finished off the evening once again solo. This was another amazing night of caring and giving by the Vegas locals, where the music community came together to raise money for a great cause, at a great Vegas venue.
