SCOTT STAPP: THE SPACE BETWEEN THE SHADOWS TOUR with guests MESSER and SUNFLOWER DEAD

Scott Stapp is back on the road touring in support of his new Cd, The Space between the Shadows - five years sober, and Stapp looks and sounds better than ever. Always a dynamic frontman, Stapp really seemed to be enjoying himself, and remarked that he really loved the Brooklyn Bowl Vegas venue. There were two dynamic bands opening up for Stapp, the Sunflower Dead and Messer to round out a full night of hard rock at the Bowl.

Sunflower Dead is a hard rocking band out of Long Beach, led by Michael Del Pizzo on accordion, piano, and who does an amazing job on vocals. Sunflower Dead has a great command of the stage, and knows how to deliver a great show to its fans. I really liked their set, and they fit in perfect on the tour.Their third album C O M A, was released through David Ellefson’s (Megadeth) EMP Label Group in 2018, and you can check out their single "Turn Away" HERE.

MESSER has been around now for ten years, named from lead singer Dereak Messer. Last time I saw this band it was downtown at a small dive club where the were crammed onto a small tiny stage, but the band just blew us away. I was interested in seeing how this band would come off on a big stage, and they did not disappoint. Messer proved they should be a headliner, as they have the sound and stage presence and have really learned their craft. Dereak Messer is a tremendous frontman who has command of the stage with a solid band of Javier Contreras on guitar, Donnie Deville on guitar, Maddox Messer on bass and Kenny Youngar on drums behind him. You can see what this band is all about by catching their newest video “Simple Man” HERE , or on the remaining dates of the Space Between The Shadows tour.

We have caught Scott Stapp the last two times he has played Vegas, and he looks physically in the best shape of his life and now sports a close cut hair style. People seem to have no in between when it comes to Stapp, they either love him or hate him, he has quite a checkered past - you can read his book and you will see this man is very lucky to be alive and has burned nearly every bridge he has crossed. But Stapp seems to be in his prime now, he is one of those rare performers who gives 110% each time I have seen him, and put on an amazing show.

Stapp is touring in support of his new CD The Space Between the Shadows, and with new single “Purpose for Pain”, Stapp proves he isn’t going anywhere - "Purpose For Pain" is one of the best songs I have heard from Scott in many years. T Vegas show was a mix of Stapp's  solo material, and of course songs from his time with the band Creed. Personally I love Scott Stapp as a performer, he has always put on a great show when he plays Vegas, and we look forward to seeing him next time he hits our stages.
