Theory of A Deadman Kick Off Fremont FREE Downtown Rocks Summer Concert Series

Its the start of summer season, and at the Fremont Street Experience that means FREE CONCERTS all summer long, and this year is their strongest lineup ever! Kicking the summer concert series off this past Friday night it was Theory of A Deadman, an alternative rock band from British Columbia with eight top 10 hits, including two number 1 hits, "Bad Girlfriend" and "Lowlife". Theory is Tyler Connolly on guitar / backing vocals, Dean Black on bass, Dave Brenner on guitar/backing vocals and Joey Dandeneau on drums. TODM fun fact: Tyler's sister is Christine Connolly, and her band Knee High Fox will be kicking off their own tour June 1st at the local Dive Bar - she was in Vegas at the TOAD show supporting her bro. Another TOAD fun fact: drumming phenom Brent Fitz (Slash) played drums in Theory of a Deadman from 2004-2007. But back to the show...

In front of a huge Fremont crowd for this free event the band kicked things off with "Lowlife" followed by "So Happy". Connolly got the fans singing and jumping by coming to the edge of the stage and towering over the massive crowd letting them know its a holiday weekend and to let loose and enjoy themselves! The band rocked through 14 songs before exiting the stage, but the crowd would not let them leave, and they quickly returned and started the encore with a touching tribute to the late, great Chris Cornell....

Theory ended the night with the crowd fav "Bad Girlfriend", and with that another summer of free concerts has begun and Scary Monsters Music will be there covering each and every one.
