HAIL SAGAN with RIVALS, THE SCARS HEAL IN TIME, and EMDF, at THE BEAUTY BAR LV

Beauty Bar on Fremont Street hosted a FREE show in February with performance goth artists HAIL SAGAN, EMDF (Embrace My Darkest Fear), THE SCARS HEAL IN TIME and RIVALS.

Opening the show was one of my favorite local bands EMDF, an industrial / metal band with a great light show. EMDF is Daniel Dazgic, Vocals,Guitar,Keyboards, Walter Martinez -Drums, Klebert Hong- Guitar, and Patrick Pulsar - bass, and Patrick also works at Beauty Bar and and is part of the reason we are seeing so many great bands come through the venue!! EMDF did a great haunting cover by the band HIM in addition to original material, and is a great Vegas band, check them out if you live in the area or follow them HERE.

Next was the band THE SCARS HEAL IN TIME from Houston Tx, featuring sisters Kayla Smith on Guitar and Vocals and Tayler Smith on Drums, and along side them on guitar it was Tyler Niccum. The Scars Heal in Time is a hard rocking band who really grabbed the packed venues attention, and Vegas 'honorary local' Vinnie Paul and crew (Pantera, HellYeah) were in the crowd to catch these Texas girls kick ass in Vegas! Near the end of their set they performed an amazing tribute version of the Cranberries hit song "Zombie".

Next was a band who I believe stole the show - RIVALS out of California is a band who is starting to play Vegas on a frequent basis, and if you ever catch them live you will know why they are in high demand here. Rivals is led by the fiery Kalie Wolfe on Vocals along with Cody Chamberlain on Bass, Micket Woodle on Guitar and Josh Alves on Drums. Once Kalie hits the stage she explodes into a ball of energy, she gets down close in front with the fans and at one point even jumped off the stage into the crowd. On each side of the stage were two drums and at different times during the show Kalie went to the left one and Cody went to the right as they joined their drummer Josh in a rhythmic pounding session. Rivals band is solid, and has a larger than life sound and a dynamic front woman. You can catch this band again in April in Vegas at the Backstage Bar & Grill, they are a must see band and definitely the crowd favorite of the night and mine too.

HAIL SAGAN from SoCal took the final slot, after a stage set up in a dark purple horror theme. Hail Sagan is led by vivacious singer Sagan Emery, along with former Powerman 5000 guitarist Nick Quijano, and Emery describes the rest of the band as "The Nothing" who are a revolving cast of superstar musicians who wear masks. Hail Sagan is a very visual band with a big sound, with Emery a very performance art driven persona on the stage, with some similarities to September Mourning and In This Moment, with a more electronica aggressive sound and in your face style . The new Hail Sagan single "Doors Will Open" is available now on iTunes, Amazon, and Google Play. For more info check out their website Headliners https://www.hailsaganofficial.com
