THREE LOCK BOX FEATURING SIN CITY SAMMY - A TRIBUTE TO SAMMY HAGAR

The Cannery hosted Three Lock Box - A Tribute to Sammy Hagar with Sin City Sammy in February, and I really did not know what to expect, as I have never seen Three Lock Box perform. I have seen most of the top tribute bands as that is where I started out covering music, so I am a pretty good judge at whether they are up to par or not. I was pleasantly surprised at what I saw that night. I can say for a fact that Three Lock Box is the real deal and can stand up there with the rest of the amazing touring tribute bands who have played Las Vegas through the years. The band is comprised of local top notch musicians who really do justice to Sammy Hagar’s career. The show was a barrage of hit songs through the various bands and solo stuff Sammy Hagar has done, from Montrose to Van Halen to his solo work, and gave those in the crowd a glimpse at the amazing career Hagar has had. The band Three Lock Box is comprised of Jay Cee (Sin City Sammy) - Lead Vocals/Guitar, Merry Adin - Bass/Vocals, Danny Robert - Drums, Steve Heath - Guitar/Vocals and Barry Allen - Keyboards/Vocals.

One of the things that stood out to me is how much at ease and how comfortable Jay Cee (Sin City Sammy) is onstage, and I was not the only one who noticed that. Jay Cee is an amazing singer / guitar player who really engages his audience to bring 'Sammy Hagar' to life onstage. I am now a huge fan of this band will be checking them out in the near future to hear some rocking tunes and see a killer show.

Hopefully The Cannery took notice that right here in Las Vegas we have some amazing bands and fans who will support them. The Cannery has one of the best rooms for sound and lighting of its size in Vegas and it’s always a pleasure to shoot and cover shows there. A big thanks to Three Lock Box and the staff and management of The Cannery for having Scary Monsters Music out for the night.
