DAS MORTAL with guests LAZER WHIP at the Beauty Bar LV

Not sure if any got the word but there was a show at the Beauty Bar featuring Montreal based DAS MORTAL along with local opener LAZER WHIP last night, the crowd size was on the small side and this show could of been held inside rather than outside and escaped the early summer heat.

Opening was Lazer Whip who actually is singer/producer Wolfie, with sounds inspired by the likes of Nine Inch Nails, Kanye West, Coldplay and Bjork; Wolfie casts vocals as diverse as his music and delivers a fresh take on songwriting to expand the boundaries of his music. During his set he brought up a couple different singers to join him onstage.

Das Mortal is a techno, synthwave project by DJ Cristóbal Cortes, and he is touring the West Coast in support of his CD Always Loved. According to DJ Cristóbal his influences include the Aphex Twins, Autechre, Boards of Canada, Björk, College, Com Truise, Depeche Mode, Ellen Allien, Fever Ray, Jean-Michel Jarre, The Human League, Le Matos, Legowelt, The Orb, Plaid and Tesla Boy. Cristobal is a very talented DJ, and someone the fans in Vegas really should come out and support. We will see you on the next time through Sin City.
