It was the first day of summer and the temps were pushing record highs once again. At show time at the Beauty Bar's outdoor venue in Vegas it was still 103 degrees at 11pm, but that did not deter TANTRIC from putting on their usual kickass show. A decent crowd showed up even with the heat and the drinks were flowing while patrons tried to stay hydrated as Tantric took to the stage.
TANTRIC was formed back in 1999 in Louisville, Kentucky by former Days Of the New members, and as with most bands members come and go, and the only remaining original member left is lead vocalist Hugo Ferreira. The band has struggled to reach the success it had in the 2000’s with songs such as "Astounded" and "Breakdown", but nonetheless have continued to bring their style of music to their fans year after year. Hugo has one of those voices that is easily recognizable, and his singing is what propels Tantric to this day, with his deep and gravelly voice that and draws you in as soon as he starts a song. , with his de fetaured and gravelly voice that and draws you in as soon as he starts a song. The band also featured Troy Patrick Farrell on drums, who has played with acts such as White Lion, Bulletboys and Gilby Clarke.
This was another great night of great American rock 'n roll at the Beauty Bar. Here’s to a blistering summer of outdoor events in one of the hottest cities in the world.
