One of Las Vegas’ best bands celebrated their 10 years Anniversary the other night at the Backstage, Bar & Billiards in Fremont - MASTIV is one of the top hard rocking bands playing Vegas today. We have covered MASTIV quite a few times this past year and all I can say is they just keep getting better and better. MASTIV is STEVE THIRIOT on vocals, JAMES HOOVER on drums, NIKKI RANGEL on bass, MADZILLA on lead guitar, and DANE HAWS on rhythm guitar. MASTIV sports one of the best guitar players in Vegas as Madzilla is worth seeing no matter what night or venue this band is playing, and lead singer Steve Thiriot is an imposing giant of a man on and off stage, and has really grown as a singer. MASTIV is by far one of mine and many others favorite band - here’s to the next 10 years of what MASTIV will be bringing us!
This was a night with all local Vegas bands supporting MASTIV and some of the best took part in this celebration. Opening the show was the trio called REVOLTA, followed by VILE CHILD. Also on the bill was long time local hardcore band d.i.M , who for the first time that I have seen performed without masks and makeup. Following them it was the unpredictable and sometimes dangerous Cirka:Sic, and this was by far one of the best performances I have seen from these guys, and I am looking forward to seeing again in the near future.
