Alice Cooper Band Pre-Concert Jam at Count's Vamp'd

The Alice Cooper band held a pre-Paranormal band jam to a packed Count's Vamp'd, the night before they would take the stage along with the legendary Alice Cooper for their tour date stop at the Pearl Theater. The crowd was excited to see one of the best bands in rock n roll in a small intimate room, with lots of special guests and surprises in store.

Hosting this event was former MTV VJ Jesse Camp, who is quite the character, and not only hosted the event but also sang with the band during the show. The Cooper jam 'house band' for the show was Chuck Garric on bass, Ryan Roxie on vocals and guitar, Glen Sobel on drums, and Tommy Henriksen on vocals and guitars - sadly missing was guitarist Nita Strauss who was across town at Guitar center hosting her Guitar Center clinic event.

The show kicked off with the band playing "Hello" (Cheap Trick), and the set was a mix of songs that the band enjoys playing, and gave them a chance to let loose and have fun. Every couple of songs the band would bring on stage a couple of guests, and they would sing a song or two for the fans. The band played the Ramones classics "Sedated", and "Blitzkrieg Bop", and they also did a great version of T-Rex’s "20th Century Boy". The musicianship in this band so damn good, and they killed it on Motorhead's "Ace Of Spades" and all through the night.

Of course there had to be a KISS song in the mix, with "Lick It Up ' creating a sing-a-long from the crow, followed by The Runaways "Cherry Bomb", and the punk theme carried through as the band played the Stooges "I Wanna be Your Dog".

All throughout the show, the band joked and laughed and you could tell they were really having a great time. The set included a killer version of Metallica's "Seek & Destroy", and you know the evening would not be complete without a few of their favorite Alice Cooper songs, "No More Mr. Nice Guy" and the anthem "School's Out". Toss in another Cheap Trick song "Surrender" and you have an awesome sing along night. Also appearing on stage for the finale of the night was Calico Cooper, Alice's daughter, and his wife Sheryl, who came out at the end of the jam and sang along to Beastie Boy's "Fight for Your Right" along with the all star line up.

Every year when when we hear Alice Cooper is coming to town we start looking for where the pre-party will be, and this year there were two in town! Alice Cooper is still a huge draw in Vegas evidenced by his sold out show at the Pearl Concert Theater the very next night. A big thanks to Korie Koker and Count's Vamp'd for hosting this amazing night!
