Alice Cooper's Paranormal Comes to the Newly Remodeled Pearl at the Palms

Alice Cooper brought his 2018 Paranormal Tour to Las Vegas on Friday August 10, to the newly remodeled Pearl Concert Theater at the Palms Hotel & Casino. It was once again another sold out show, and the crowd was ready to witness what Cooper had in store for them this time around. Cooper opened up his show with "Brutal Planet" to a shower of fire and sparks raining down as the band kicked into gear, and classics "No More Mr. Nice Guy", "Under My Wheels", "Billion Dollar Babies", and "Be My Lover" got the show off to a powerful start. A now 70 year old Cooper showed amazing energy, and performed like he did 30 or more years ago.

The Cooper band is one of the best in the business, and each member a super talented musician in their own right - anchored by Chuck Garric on bass, Glen Sobel on drums, and Tommy Henriksen on bass, with the guitar duties traded off by Ryan Roxie and a young lady who just gets better and better - Nita Strauss. And don’t forget, this is a family affair, as Cooper's wife Sheryl and daughter Calico both are performance artists in the show, as dancers and creepy dead dolls and brings even more fun to the full stage and show production.

Past the halfway point of the show the entire production picked up pace, as huge props like the giant electric shock treatment prop and the infamous guillotine, along with a giant Frankenstein monster who walked about the stage trying to capture the various band members who had come out to play. Cooper then toned things down with one of his biggest hits, "Only Women Bleed", which got a standing ovation from the crowd, and wound down his show with more classics "Ballad Of Dwight Fry", "Killer", "Love the Dead", and closed out the main set with "I’m Eighteen".

After a brief exit from the stage, the Cooper and the band returned, and finished out the 2 hour set with a finale of anthem "School's Out", that included huge balloons filled with confetti tossed over the audiences heads, only to be popped by Cooper when they were pushed back towards the stage. Long strands of confetti reigned down from the rafters, and another amazing Alice Cooper show came to a close in vegas. Forever the showman, Cooper knows how to put the Vegas into a Paranormal show.
