Silverstein brought their When Broken Is Easily Fixed tour - celebrating 15 years since the release the debut album of the same name - to the Brooklyn Bowl in Las Vegas, with guests Hawthorne Heights, Capstan, and As Cities Burn and the Brooklyn Bowl was at capacity early as the fans turned out to see all the bands for this high energy show.
CAPSTAN opened the show, a self described progressive / post hardcore band currently based in Florida - this was a good band with lots of enthusiasm, and a great start to the night. The band consists of Anthony DeMario on Vocals, Harrison Bormann on Guitar, Andrew Bozymowski on Bass/Vocals, Joseph Mabry on Guitar and Scott Fisher on Drums.
AS CITIES BURN was next on the bill. and have been around since 2002, but have a history of breaking up and getting back together, and they were they are quite good. The band consists of Cody Bonnette on vocals, TJ Bonnette backing vocals and piano, Aaron Lunsford on drums, Hunter Walls on bass and Stephen Keech on bass and backing vocals.
HAWTHORNE HEIGHTS took to the stage with a huge backdrop that said, "I Used to listen to Hawthorne Heights in High School”, and that proved true with the age of this crowd being late 20’s to early 30’s. is an American rock band formed back in 2001, who has also gone through numerous lineup changes, but somehow have persevered and continue touring. Hawthorne Heights' JT Woodruff on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Mark McMillon on lead guitar, Matt Ridenour on bass, and Chris "Poppy" Popadak on drums kept the fans mesmerized and kept the energy on high, and crowd loved them and went crazy with mosh pits opening up during their show. JT Woodruff would occasionally talk to the screaming crowd, and reassure them it was all right to go through what all young people go through, and better days are ahead, bringing a serious moment into the powerful set.
Headlining the show was SILVERSTEIN, and unlike the other bands Silverstein has had a consistent lineup for most of their career. The band's sound has been described as post hardcore / emo, and they are polished and know how to deliver exactly what their fans want. Silverstein is Josh Bradford on rhythm guitar, Paul Koehler on drums, Shane Told on lead vocals, Billy Hamilton on bass guitar and Paul Marc Rousseau on lead guitar, and the band maintained a steady flow of energy, and the circle pits kept going over and over the rest of the night. Shane’s interactions with the audience grew more intense, getting the crowd to chant and sing along with the songs, as this was their tour and their crowd and the fans responded loud and proud. A great way to close out the night and a great lineup for the Easily Fixed tour.
