This weeks edition of Big Daddy’s Hayride at Fremont's Backstreet Bar & Billiards featured one of the most underrated rock and roll bands out today, Georgia's NASHVILLE PUSSY - that naughty Southern foursome spewing out 70's boozy power rock for going on 20 years now, with a new album out that you'll want to hide from your mother. Along with The First Sun, The Quacks and Leaving Springfield, Vegas was in for a long night and a lot of rock'n roll.

Leaving Springfield warmed up the crowd with a great set yet again at Triple B’s - good songwriting and great musicianship, Leaving Springfield put on a solid and fun show to get the night started. The Quacks are local to Las Vegas and a great band, quirky with a sound that is different than almost any band I have see locally in a while, and they have a sense of humor that shows in their songs - punk and horror themes thrown in with solid tunes for a fun set.

The First Sun took to the stage with a rockabilly and country sound, a band you want to kick back and really take in with their great songwriting and tone. Their show goes from slow acoustic to break neck rockabilly as their show progresses, and was a really interesting band - you never know what direction they are going throughout the night.

Called “America’s last great rock ‘n’ roll band”, Georgia's NASHVILLE PUSSY came out rocking and roaring at Triple B's, and the sex, booze and RnR Vegas show hit full throttle. Nashville Pussy has been out on the road since late 2018 after the release of their seventh album titled Pleased to Eat You, and is a true dirty hard rock band, and had a fast paced non-stop show playing everything from psychobilly to southern rock, with some cowpunk thrown in for good measure. The husband and wife team of Blaine Cartwright and Ruyter Suys on guitars, along with Bonnie Buitrago on bass and Ben Thomas on drums plays songs that are rude, crude and unapologetic, with lead guitarist Ruyter Suys is a mass of flying curls and boobs as she frantically rips onstage - an absolute beast on guitar and never fails to give her all in a show. This is a Jack Daniels, weed glorifying band who makes no apologies for the way they live and the lack of PC lyrics - they live for the thrill and the party. Nashville Pussy is one of the best live bands on the club circuit, grinding out shows for the lifelong fans - and always a band to see when they make their annual stop in Vegas.
