“SEX, BLOW UP DOLLS & ROCK N ROLL” - LORDS OF ACID with ORGY, GENITORTURERS, GABRIEL AND THE APO

Absolute pure mayhem is the only way to describe the final show of the Pretty In Kink Tour which concluded at the Hard Rock Cafe in Las Vegas - the final show means throw out all the rules, and anything can and did happen on this night. The show was solid from start to finish and included Gabriel and the Apocalypse, Little Miss Nasty, Genitorturers, and Orgy as support for headlining act Lords of Acid. Entering the venue and making our way to the front we were greeted by a row of blow up dolls that were hung all over the barricade, and just before 7pm the lights lowered and Gabriel and the Apocalypse took to the stage, an industrial goth metal band from Minneapolis fronted by Lindy Gabriel, who r

eally knows how to work a stage with her amazing voice. The band was dressed wildly in face paint and what looked like underwear as they moved in a crazy manner back and forth across the stage, and are touring in support of their latest music video “Systematic Chaos”.

Dance troupe Little Miss Nasty, (who also happens to have a residency at the nearby Hooters Casino) actually did two sets on this night, one after opener Gabriel and the Apocalypse and the other before Lords of Acid. Self described as “a little bit Rock 'n Roll, a little bit Burlesque, a lot of High Energy Dance and Nasty Performance Art” - or as I call it, Raunch n' Roll, and thats exactly what we got. Little Miss Nasty was a highly entertaining show with some sexy dancers, a great fit for the tour.

Genitorturers are the ultimate raunchy rock 'n roll band takes industrial metal to a whole new level, with a stage show that includes bondage, hard core sex and religious themes, and is led by vocalist Gen and her very talented band who sounded better than ever. This was a set that wowed us - the props used in the show were better than ever, and only add to the overall experience. The Genitorturers are one of my favorite bands, and one you need to see if you have never caught their show, it is something else.

Orgy was next on the lineup, led by singer Jay Gordon who when he hits the stage never stops moving. Joining him onstage was Carlton Bost on guitar, Nic Speck on bass, Ilia Yordanov on guitar and Ryan Browne on drums. Orgy rocked the stage playing hits such as "Opticon" and "Blue Monday", and speaking of "Blue Monday" singer Jay Gordon jumped into the

crowd during the song, and anyone who wanted to sing jumped in as the band closed out their set with the hit. Members of Gabriel and the Apocalypse came out and joined them at times, taunting them from the pit with the array of blow up dolls that were everywhere.

After another sexy set by Little Miss Nasty, it was time for the return of Lords of Acid, and we were really looking forward to seeing them with a revamped lineup that included new singer Marieke Bresseleers, who was absolutely amazing, and the addition of Ministry guitarist Sin Quirin who really brought a harder, edgier sound to an already powerhouse of a band. LOA is led by Belgium electronic musician Praga Khan,, and fetish and rock pop songs are about sex, drugs and more sex, and Sin Quirin has helped elevated the sound to a whole new level. Their stage show also featured a sexy dancer who looked to be straight out of the Fifth Element and during the song “Pussy” brought up onstage from the audience as many women as the stage could hold, and were also joined onstage and in the pit by all the other bands from the night, who danced and threw into the crowd blow up dolls. It was pure mayhem an amazing show, and a fantastically naughty end to a Pretty in Kink tour.
