JUDAS PRIEST AT THE JOINT AT THE HARD ROCK LAS VEGAS JUNE 29
NEW SONGS - NEW SET - NEW SHOW!
Who is excited to see the true Metal Gods return to Las Vegas?
This time the legendary band will be playing at The Joint inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino
for the final show of the North American Tour.
Judas Priest is in the middle of their of the North American third leg of their current Firepower tour, out in support of their latest stupendous studio album which was released in March of 2018. Firepower is the eighteenth studio album by the British heavy metal band, debuting at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 chart, making it the band's highest-charting album in the US.
2019 commemorates 50 years of legendary metal for the band, and the Metal Gods are in rare form on this leg of the tour, with a spectacular new set and a new show. Opening the show on this run is the legendary Uriah Heep, who is also reaching the 50 year anniversary platform and a great companion for Priest on the Firepower tour.
Guitarist Richie Faulkner told Atlanta's rock station Rock 100.5 that Priest will have "a few surprises" in the setlist on the upcoming tour, adding that they will be "songs that maybe people haven't heard for a long time, or ever from the band. It's exciting just to see people's faces when you throw a new song in there or a blast from the past."
Per Twitter Faulker expanded with "The actual stage set is new and different, new production, as it stands now around 8-10 songs we haven't played yet on the entire Firepower tour, some new some old."
Priest are adding never before played songs from Firepower on tour, including "Necromancer," "Spectre" and "Traitors Gate" into some shows, and fans have heard "All Guns Blazing" from Painkiller - which hasn't been played since the original tour. Over half the touring set is comprised of songs that haven't been played in a near decade or more, although the classic "Victim of Changes", "Hell Bent for Leather" and more Priest power standards will always make the cut.
The current touring Priest lineup has the Metal God himself, Rob Halford, original bassist Ian Hill, Scott Travis on drums, long time guitarist Ritchie Faulkner, and guitarist Andy Sneap (who is touring guitarist in place of Glenn Tipton as he battles Parkinson’s disease). Tipton has made a couple encore appearances on the tour, and was also on stage for the bands last Vegas date, so will we get a repeat for the Firepower finale?
Tickets are on sale at now for the final North American show at the Joint Las Vegas,
doors at 7pm, show starting at 8pm, with tickets starting at $40.
