ANVIL ROCKS LAS VEGAS AT THE TUSCANY COPA ROOM

What an absolutely electrifying night! Anvil, the legendary Canadian metal pioneers, absolutely smashed the Copa Room at the Tuscany Suites & Hotel in Las Vegas on June 14, 2026. Their "Pounding the Past" Tour proved to be a powerful testament to their enduring legacy, delivering an experience that was both nostalgic and undeniably fresh.

It's truly remarkable to witness the unwavering energy emanating from original members Steve 'Lips' Kudlow on guitar and vocals, and Robb 'Robbo' Reiner on drums, after nearly five decades. Their passion and raw power, which I first encountered live way back in 1982, remain as potent as ever. Reiner's thunderous, signature drumming still serves as the explosive core of Anvil's unique and formidable sound.

The setlist was a dream for long-time fans, focusing heavily on the seminal classics from their groundbreaking first four albums. The entire venue buzzed with anticipation as Lips, in his characteristic showmanship, kicked off the performance by shredding electrifying leads directly within the audience, instantly igniting the Las Vegas crowd. Completing this formidable Canadian trio is bassist Garth Richardson, whose dynamic stage presence and powerful contributions have been integral to Anvil's sound for over a decade.

For me, this concert was a deeply personal journey. I had the wonderful opportunity to catch up with my old friends before the show, reminiscing about Anvil's very first American Tour in 1982 and the indelible mark they left on us. Seeing them continue to deliver such an unbridled, high-octane performance was a truly special moment.
