BAD NERVES BLAST the BIZARRE BAR IN LAS VEGAS with THE DEATH CHAT

Bad Nerves hit Vegas again on their most recent tour leg, in wake of last years Still Nervous album and single after single. The band is shooting straight up the punk pop ladder, playing festivals and touring seemingly endlessly, giving fans old and new a punk punch in the face. The Bizarre Bar filled up fast, the band made an impact at the Punk Rock Bowling Festival here in 2025 right after their album release, and Vegas came out ready for more.
The Death Chat opened up the show, a surprise for me (where have I been??) with Jakob Armstrong (from Ultra Q and son of Billy Joe) on vocals and guitar for this pop punk garage rock band. The band also includes Enzo Malaspina (guitar) and Chris Malaspina (drums) who are also Ultra Q alum, and Jose Polanco Jr. (bass). It is a splinter project of Ultra Q, a more gritty garage version of the indie group, and have a premier self titled album out now featuring tracks like "Ego," "Slowly Finding Joy," and "Lost At Sea" that we all got to hear in real time. The UK punks Bad Nerves really got my attention when I saw them at PRB 2025, and they have been really taking off since the release of Still Nervous and constant touring. Billy Joe Armstrong called them the best new punk band in England, and has even had them support on Green Day touring. The charismatic Bobby Nerves is leading this five piece on a rampage across the world, and punk fans are noticing. A little Ramones, a little Hives, a lot of attitude, they are kicking punk ass and taking names.
The band has been around for a decade, but really took off after the release of their debut self titled album, and more so with the most recent Still Nervous (LooseGroove Records). Las Vegas came out swinging to see them, and the room got wild with the crowd making mini circle pits and screaming along.
