CHAD GRAY : 30 YEARS OF MADNESS with SPECIAL GUEST KAMI KEHOE at Fremont Country Club LV

CHAD GRAY, frontman for Mudvayne and Hellyeah, launched his 30 Years of Madness solo tour at the Fremont Country Club in Las Vegas, a highly anticipated sold out show in Vegas, and I was more than ready to see Vegas wayward son, Chad being near and dear to the Las Vegas fans from his Hellyeah history. In a recent interview with Loudwire, he said this tour came about because Mudvayne decided to take off all of 2026, but he is a worker and his happy place is performing live onstage. This would be the first time that Mudvayne and Hellyeah songs will be played at the same show, and was a way to pay tribute to Vegas legend Vinnie Paul, who was a huge mentor to him and keep his legacy and music alive.

Support for the show was Vegas native and solo artist KAMI KEHOE. The crowd LOVED Kami and started shouting her name before she even hit the stage, and sang and jumped up and down to her music. Kami said the "vibe for the night was unbelievable and that (she) is only the opening act!"

Kami did a cover of the Kings of Leon song "Sex on Fire" in the set, "Kandy" from her most recent 2025 EP, and also new single "Psycho". Kami was a great choice to open this show and a young lady with lots of talent that will make her mark on the rock world - next for her is a support slot on the upcoming Breaking Benjamin 2026 tour. The crowd started pushing forward as the lights went down and the electricity grew - this was the moment everyone has been waiting for - Chad Gray in a small intimate venue like Fremont Country Club, playing songs Mudvayne and Hellyeah for the fans that love him. This was the first ever solo tour by Chad, and to hear songs again by Hellyeah was going to be a rare treat.

Chad and the band (Nick Villarreal on bass, Devin Attard on drums, and Mudvayne touring guitarist Marcus Rafferty) opened the show with the Hellyeah song "X", and was starting to fire on all cylinders when all of a sudden the sound blew out. Chad continued singing hoping it was a temporary thing, and after a couple minutes the issue was resolved and the band continued with the song, then straight into one of my favorite Mudvayne songs, “Not Falling”. The Hellyeah song “Moth” was a huge favorite of the crowd, as they roared along with Chad.

Half way through the set, Chad brought out guitarist and Vegas resident Christian Brady, and they played a trio of Hellyeah songs including “Say When", "Love Falls" & "Human”, before Chad told the crowd they are going to play a song Mudvayne has never played live before, "Scream With Me” from their last studio album in 2009. Chad jumped off the stage and went over the barricade into the crowd and the show jumped into immediate frenzy. For those in the front this had to be an incredible moment. The show closed with the Mudvayne classic “Happy”, and Chad thanked his band and everyone who made this night a huge success.
