EVERYBODY WANTS THE STRUTS! BRIT ROCKERS BRING ANNIVERSARY TOUR TO LAS VEGAS AT THE BEL-AIRE BACKYARD WITH DIRTY HONEY

ree

Glam rock is alive and kicking, and The Struts lead the pack. It was a glitter rock British explosion onto the stage in Vegas - the band played an outdoor show at the Bel-Aire Backyard at the Durango Casino and Resort, a celebration of the 10th Anniversary of their debut Everybody Wants, and a beautiful night poolside under the stars.

The Struts have been touring the US with support from Los Angeleans Dirty Honey, who opened the show with the soulful rock and roll of "Gypsy" from their debut full length LP. The band has a rowdy classic boho vibe, and really got the crowd singing and dancing. Dirty Honey has played the Vegas area a bit and has a solid following here, and singer Marc LaBelle swaggered through a set that featured singles "Another Last Time", "Don't Put Out The FIre", and their Mainstream Rock charting hit "When I'm Gone". The band has a new live album out, Mayhem and Revelry, and you can check out the record and more HERE.

Luke Spiller indeed strutted onto the stage for the main event, kicking off the set with a bang with "Primadonna Like Me" and the show was on. The crowd was screaming along, and "Body Talk" kept the energy high. Spiller told the crowd they were playing Everybody Wants in entirety and the next hour was spent rolling through the debut album, starting with the Mercury-esque "Roll Up (Everybody Wants)" and "Could Have Been Me". Spiller is a showman, a mover and shaker on stage, bleeds charisma, and it showed through in every cut. He slowed things down a with an acoustic start to "Merry Go Round", and took to the piano for "Young Stars", then kicked the pace right back up with "These Times Are Changing" as the audience sang and swayed along.

Every great show has to come to and end, and The Struts brought it home with an encore "Pretty Vicious" from their 2023 album of the same name. This Anniversary Tour will be going strong through early October, for more on music, merch and tour dates visit HERE.

The show was a real treat, and this outdoor space at the Durango was amazing, the weather just perfect for a drink and a show under the night sky. The Bel-Aire Backyard Concert Series has more shows and events coming up as the weather gets even better, more on the venue and shows HERE.
