FREMONT STREET EXPERIENCE PRESENTS LOCALS SHOWCASE WITH THE FAR WORST - VOXXX - THE OUT THERE

Fremont Street Experience held a new Locals Showcase this weekend highlighting some of the best local bands currently playing in Las Vegas with The Far Worst, Voxxx & The Out There. The great thing about this showcase is it gives up and coming bands a chance to play on a big stage with professional lighting and sound to a big audience, as the Fremont stages attract hundreds, and at times thousands of locals and tourists alike.

Kicking off the night's festivities was the band THE OUT THERE, and this was the first time I have seen them, and I loved the high energy and the pop / punk sound they brought to the stage. Their sound actually reminded me a lot of Green Day, and they were dressed in all black, with red ties and big black face paint around their eyes. In the background on the video screen the bands video for their song “With You” played on loop, it's obvious by the video that this band has a great time, and does not take life too seriously. They also played a couple of their new songs, along with a killer version of the Beastie Boys "Sabotage".

During the middle of their set they brought out a special guest singer, the dynamic Lisa Foiles who helped out with a audience participatory version of "Eighth Day Revolution" from the band's 2024 album. The Out There is Paul Martinez on vocals and guitar, Colin Brodie Campbell on bass, Daniel Conway on drums and Ryan Kelsey on lead guitar. You can catch these guys next at the FREE Neon City Music Festival on Fremont Street on November 22nd, 1st Street Stage.

Next up was another band I have never seen before - VOXXX is led by the dynamic adult performer Victoria Voxxx who dances non-stop, and teases her audiences with her sultry moves, along with a great voice. Voxxx plays different styles of music, including some originals, and had a killer version of Donna Summers “Hot Stuff”.

The band was stacked with talent, and had Jeff Duncan from Armored Saint, Fritz O’ Hara on guitar, Michael Maysonet on drums and James Sperry on bass. Voxxx is slated to perform with the legendary Glenn Hughes on May 6th at the Backstage Bar & Billiards in downtown Las Vegas. More on VOXXX HERE.

Closing out the night it was the band THE FAR WORST, who are riding a wave of momentum that does not seem to be slowing down any time soon. Each time I have seen this band they seem to be getting better and better, and look and sound more professional onstage. The band is fronted by Bree Elizabeth on vocals, Jake Bruen on bass, Andy Ingraham on guitar and Brian Scott on drums, and are becoming major players on the Vegas Scene, and really got the crowd pumped up from the Fremont Stage.

The Far Worst has a new single and video out, “Monsters”, mixed and mastered by Logan Mader (Once Human, Machine Head) that seems to feature every local in Vegas at a crazy out of control house party. The band will also be playing this weekend at the FREE Neon City Music Festival on Fremont Street on Saturday, November 22nd. More on The Far Worst HERE.
