JINJER : THE NORTH AMERICAN DUEL TOUR in LAS VEGAS WITH GUESTS ENTHEOS

Jinjer brought the Duel Tour to Las Vegas this month, with a phenomenal blast of metalcore and music to the House of Blues. Jinjer has always been at the top of my list of favorite bands, with Tatiana my number one female performer, so I was excited for this tour! Entheos was support, and a perfect fit for the tour.

ENTHEOS hail from Santa Cruz, and is made up of ex-members of Animosity, Animals as Leaders and The Faceless. The band is fronted by Chaney Crabb who is a beast on vocals - a very intense singer who never slowed down the entire show. Entheos has a new CD titled Empty On the Inside coming out in October on Metal Blade Records, and kicked off their set with "All for Nothing" followed by single "Empty On the Inside", and the HOB was chaos as the night got off to a powerpacked start. Along with Chaney, the band is Navene Koperweis on drums, Michael Stancel on guitar and Scott Carstairs on guitars and backing vocals, and they really gave the fans a dynamic intense set. This was the last date on the tour for Entheos, and Chaney shared the band could not thank Jinjer enough for having them on tour, running a first class operation and treating the band the best they ever have been treated. It was a great match up, and you can hear and read more about Entheos HERE.

For the second act, the lights went down andchants started from the crowd... “Tati, Tati, Tati” as the band began to make their was to the stage. It was obvious who the crowd came to see, vocalist Tatiana Shamyuk, who has made quite the name for herself in the world of deathcore / metalcore with her incredible vocal range going from harsh growls to soft melodic in an instant. She has been instrumental in influencing a rise in so many heavy female singers in today's metal scene. Jinjer opened up with “Duel” the title track from their most recent CD DUEL, showcasing Tati’s vocal ability and the sound Jinjer is loved for. Her incredible vocal talent, along with the musicianship of Roman Ibramkhalilov on guitar, Eugene Abdukhanov on bass, and drummer Vladislav "Vladi" Ulasevich, gave the fans quite a metal masterpeice of a show.

The band's stage featured a large video screen behind the band and smaller ones in front that continuously played videos through their entire set. I LOVED the new look Tatiana was sporting on this tour as it reminded me of a knight's armor, and really fit the tour and album name. As the set wound down they played "Pisces", the song that got the biggest response from the crowd, and a song I believe has given a huge amount of attention to the band - people got to hear this woman go from a beautiful soft melodic singing style to a most brutal, harsh growling vocals.

It was another memorable night by one of the best metalcore / deathcore bands touring today, and Entheos was a perfect addition to this tour. More on Jinjer dates and music HERE
