Legendary guitarist Robby Krieger of The Doors made his return to Las Vegas on September 5, performing at the Copa Room at Tuscany Hotel & Casino and giving fans an unforgettable evening of music. Krieger remains an extraordinary guitarist, and his distinctive sound was on full display throughout the night. His exceptional slide guitar playing was one of the highlights of the performance, showcasing the unique style that has made his guitar work so recognizable for generations of Doors fans.

Krieger opened the evening with new music alongside his band, The Soul Savages, giving the audience an opportunity to hear where his musical journey continues to take him while still retaining the unmistakable character of his playing.

The evening took another turn when singer Andrew Cole joined Krieger onstage for a powerful performance of the Doors classic "Touch Me." The collaboration provided one of the night's memorable moments and brought the audience back to the music that helped define an era.

The surprises continued when actor Dennis Quaid took the stage. Quaid performed five additional Doors classics, channeling his best Jim Morrison as he delivered songs from the band's legendary catalog, including "The Crystal Ship", "Back Door Man", "Riders on the Storm", "Roadhouse Blues", and "L.A. Woman".

Hearing these timeless songs performed by one of the musicians who helped create them was a special experience. Krieger's guitar playing provided the unmistakable musical foundation, while Quaid's performance brought a theatrical quality to the Morrison material.

The Doors' music has endured for generations, and Krieger remains an important link to that history. The band was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1993, recognizing its enormous impact on rock music and popular culture.
