SLAUGHTER TO PREVAIL PUMMEL BROOKLYN BOWL LV with WHITECHAPEL and ATTILA

I had been anxiously awaiting this tour since the day it was announced, and the show quickly SOLD OUT, and fans started arriving nearly two hours before doors opened. It’s no surprise, with three monster metal bands all performing on the same stage, in one of the best venues for metal shows in Vegas.
ATTILA hail from Atlanta and have been around since 2005, and their sound is heavy, aggressive with a touch of hip hop. They opened with the new single “Concrete Throne”. They followed with “Moshpit”, where the crowd really engaged with the band as the floor opened up. Singer Chris “Fonz” Fronzak told the crowd that this was the first time in 8 years they have played Vegas., and it seems Vegas was glad they were back! The band closed out their short but frenzied set with “About That Life” to a roar. More on Attlia HERE.
WHITECHAPEL is a band I have been trying to catch these past few years, and are a whole different level of heavy, and they totally did not disappoint. Whitechapel hail from Knoxville and formed back in 2006, and kicked off their set with “Prisoner 666” from their most recent Hymns in Dissonance (Metal Blade) - and let the games begin. This is real guttural singing, and lead vocalist Phil Bozeman is one of the best.
Whitechapel's set was fast and furious, with Phil mainly leaning over the heightened walkway at the front of the stage that loomed over the crowd, where he had a prime view to some of the most intense crowd surfing and moshing the Bowl has seen. It was sort of strange that half way through their set they took a brief break, but returned and melted the faces off the crowd with more brutal music. Everything Whitechapel HERE.
Russian deathcore kings SLAUGHTER TO PREVAIL headlined on this return to Vegas, and the Brooklyn Bowl crowd was more than eager. The band entered the stage wearing their demonic kid of darkness masks as the crowd surged towards the stage. “Bonebreaker" blasted out onto the crowd and the circling began. "Banditos" from the most recent Grizzly (Sumerian Records) kept to frenzy going, and the tone was set for a brutal and crazy interactive show.
Alex the Terrible performed the show with mask on and off, a commanding figure on the walk above the stage, along with the guitarists high above the crowd on platforms, creating a dominating force as he led the crowd in the wall of death more than once, surging masses of bodies screaming and running for dear life as the band pummeled the bowl.
STP gave the fans a power walk through Grizzly, with almost every track making the cut, with a bit of Kostolom, for a punishing set. He gave creds to the support as well, telling the crowd that when he was 14 years old starting out he listened to Attila and Whitechapel, and now he is living the dream life by having both those bands on tour with him. And what a tour it is.
Before the set ended, Alex had some motivating insight for the fans, changing the world begins with changing yourself first, and a few years ago he was a 'different person, but due to changing himself, came huge success he now experiences. He thanked the fans for coming out and for making the whole tour a near sell out, and the support night after night, before pounding out what I considered their best song, "Demolisher" for a brutal finale to the set.
This was by far the best metal show I have seen in the last few years, and I got to witness three different types of metal madness - this tour is sick. Alex The Terrible says the band may take a little down time,..."This will be your last chance to see us in these cities before we take a much needed break in 2027/2028, so don’t sleep on getting tickets."
