THE PSYCHEDELIC FURS made a stop in Las Vegas on their continuing 2025 tour, this time at the House of Blues for another packed date in sin city for this classic pop punk band.
Every time the Furs come to Vegas I always catch their show, they are one of the most iconic of 80’s bands, with some of the biggest hits from the era, especially “Pretty In Pink” (made a cult classic in the John Hughes film of the same name. They have made their way into people's hearts and playlists over 40+ years, and continue to sell out wherever they tour. The band is fronted by founders and brothers Richard and Tim Butler, and for this tour joined by keyboardist Amanda Kramer, guitarist Rich Good and drummer ZacK Alford.
With songs "Love My Way, "The Ghost In You" and "Heartbreak Beat”, the 2025 Furs show is a medley of hits spanning their long and successful career. Today the Furs' crowd is bit older, but loyal and still get so excited when the band hits the stage, and start singing and dancing throughout their entire show.

The Furs opened their show with “Presidents Gas” and followed up with a newer cut, “Wrong Train” from their most recent 2020 album Made of Rain (their first new studio album in nearly 30 years). Then it was on to three big hits in a row, starting with “Heaven", "Into You Like A Train", and a song I really love, "The Ghost In You". My favorite song of the night by far was “Mr Jones”, a fast paced, hard-to-stand-still to song from the 1981 break out album Talk, Talk, Talk, and I got to hear “Dumb Waiters”, a song I have never heard the Furs play live, and was elated. The Furs played a near 20 song set, finishing with the standout "India" from their 1980 debut album for a full circle Furs experience.
Even after decades, Richard Butler's voice sounds just as clear and strong as it did back in the early 80’s, and the songs are timeless and will live on forever. The tour adds opening act Gary Numan for fall date starting in September. For more on Psychedelic Furs, tour dates and tickets visit their website HERE
