New Found Glory and Yellowcard hit Las Vegas for the UP UP DOWN DOWN Tour, at the beautiful Fontainebleau Theater in Las Vegas, for a night of pure joy and revelry. You could feel the energy and excitement in the room before the bands' even made an entrance.
New Found Glory opened their set with "A Love Song", the latest single from their new 2026 album Listen Up! (Pure Noise Records), their first in six years, and the fans were singing along to a whole new host of faves. The BleauLive was a near sellout with close to four thousand fans screaming in unison, while the band, led by the charismatic Jordan Pundik, played through a 15 song set in a fast hour.
We got several cuts from the new record, and a bit from early Sticks and Stones and New Found Glory. It was a real retrospect into NF glory days, and the crowd was up for the challenge, the bodies cascaded over the barricade and the fists stayed steady in the air.
Listen Up! was recorded during a challenging time for guitarist Chad Gilbert, who was, and is battling cancer, and his presence was missed onstage, and Dan O'Connor from Four Years Strong held up guitar duties for the meantime, along with NFG's Ian Grushka on bass and Cyrus Balooki on drums . NFG gave a unrelenting performance, and the whole place was just a powerful, emotional, ecstatic celebration.
Yellowcard reunited again for this UP UP DOWN DOWN Tour, and the fans were all here for it, riding a wave of sentimentality and adrenaline for a pure energy show. The pop punk set was polished and tight, and vocalist Ryan Key led the night, as the fans sang along with arms in the air as they started strong with "Better Days" and "Way Away".
Yellowcard mixed in much loved older tracks from Ocean Avenue and more, with a LOT of newer material from their latest release Better Days, with a nostalgic look back but with a nod to a new path. Better Days (released late last year) is their first full length album of new material in almost a decade (Produced by Travis Barker on Better Noise Music), and the fans loved it along with the blasts from the past. The last few songs of the set brought it home with a finale of "Bedroom Posters" and "Ocean Avenue" for a roaring finnish.
