Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas hosted the Waterparks Prowler Tour, and what a night! The show was packed, and the eclectic lineup drew fans of all three bands, who each brough their own spiciness to the show.
Winona Fighter bounced right onto the stage, with Coco Kinnon jumping and kicking with crazy energy as the pounded out "R U Famous" and the crowd jumped too. The band, with Lead guitarist Dan Fuson and bassist Austin Luther, crash through angsty angry punk rock tunes with a pop snarl, and if you've never seen them live, they turn the punch up to 11.
The band released their first full album this year, My Apologies To The Chef, and a number of videos to go along with it. I had heard their single "I'm In The Market to Please No One" on Sirius XM Faction Punk, and now seeing them live I'm totally hooked. And the Beastie Boys cover "Sabotage" was goat. So much energy. so much fun, so many F bombs lol. My people.
Ahhh Foxy Shazam. If Rocky Horror and The Darkness had a baby on American Horror Story it would be THIS. This is one crazy wide open hot mess of a show, ad I'm here for it. Eric Nally screams and prances like a pop rock ringmaster, Alex Nauth gyrates, Sky White turns the keyboard into a weapon, Misster Universe terrorizes on bass and costume changes, Teddy Atkins swings the sticks like a dance, with while Devin Williams rips up the stage with a guitar that hold it all together. From the start of the energized "Yes! Yes! Yes!", the band held the crowd in awe, and took the party to a new level.
This theatrical band fuzes funk, glam, soul and good ole rock 'n roll and has been doing it for decades, and released not one, but TWO albums in 2025, most recent being Box Of Magic, a glittery auditory boom that they are promoting with this tour. Check out single "You Know My Name" featuring Corey Feldman - and stay thirsty my friends. More on Foxy Shazam HERE.
Waterparks power-packed punk pop exploded onto the stage, and their fans lined the barricade screaming to high heaven. From the frenetic opening of "Blonde" and the singalong "Sneaking Out Of Heaven", Awsten Knight held the fans in hand. The band stayed a three piece on this tour, with Geoff Wigington on lead guitar and Otto Wood pure pounding the drums to death as they played a LOOONG 27 cuts, encompassing their five album catalogue, as well as new singles.
Mid-set Knight cut to an acoustic mash up of screamed out requests and faves, that turned into a group singalong with bits of "Closer", "Never Bloom Again" and more, We also heard a bit from the most recent album Intellectual Property, with the hip hop beat of "Fuck About It" and experimental sound of "Real After Dark". The crowd loved it all, the energy stayed insane, and Knight connects like a master to his fans.
As the set wound down we got several recent singles live - the band signed with BMG this year and hopefully we'll see a new album soon, but in the meantimes the singles keep coming - most recently the pop culture "If Lyrics Were Confidential". Check out new music and more on Waterparks HERE.
