DJ ASHBA THROWS A ELECTRIC VINYL DJ PARTY IN LAS VEGAS FOR THE FREMONT STREET EXPERIENCE SERIES

DJ ASHBA, legendary guitarist for Guns n Roses, as an actual DJ? Yup, that's what we witnessed on the 3rd street stage at the Fremont Street Experience this month. DJ ASHBA, who goes by just ASHBA in his new endeavor as a hybrid DJ / Guitarist, took to the stage just past 11pm for a free concert as part of the Electric Vinyl DJ Series that Fremont Street holds weekly. Ashba says on his website he has invented a whole new genre in the electronic dance arena, by combining hard rock guitar along with electronic music, and calls his new pioneering effort GDM - Guitar Dance Music.

Ashba has been involved in this project for a good bit of time now, and has performed at the Golden Knights hockey game, opened for Pitbull, and now performed on Fremont Street stages. During his set he told the crowd that the camera man onstage was filming for his upcoming TV show, Ashba All Access, that takes viewers behind the scenes of his rockstar life and is in production.

Ashba doesn’t just play techno dance music, he combines hard rock songs while playing guitar to them. Ashba asked the crowd, “where are my metal heads at?”before he played metal classics from his laptop and grabbed his guitar and played along with them. He had a couple dancers come onstage and perform with him on different songs, and on the side of the stage he had a large group of family and friends in attendance, and had guests jump onstage as Ashba serenaded on guitar.

The only thing I can not get out of my head is hearing Ashba play a Backstreet Boys song. That one just made me shake my head lol. The big crowd really seemed to love what they were hearing, some coming to see the Metal guitar hero live, and some coming to hear EDC music and becoming new Ashba fans. The show was very fun, interactive and entertaining, and everyone got to see what his electro project is all about, and even better on a Fremont Experience stage FREE show.
