Friday night's show at the Brooklyn Bowl was for the true Iron Maiden fan - The Iron Maidens returned to Las Vegas to bring their all female tribute show to the Vegas stage. Local boys CRASH MIDNIGHT kicked off the show, one of the top local bands, and It’s hard for me to believe that these guys have been around for 20 years. The band is led by Shaun Soho on vocals, with brother Bo on bass, Alex Donaldson on lead guitar, Matt Jimino on guitar, and Mitchell Teranova on drums

THE WRATH ACROSS AMERICA TOUR WITH GUESTS SEPTICFLESH / CRYPTA / THROWN INTO EXILE The highly anticipated WRATH ACROSS AMERICA TOUR with co-headliners ARCH ENEMY and BLACK DAHLIA MURDER rolled into Tempe and played to a packed Marquee Theater. Unfortunately there was a couple of setbacks so early into the tour - the lead guitarist for Septicflesh, Christos Antoniou fell and fractured a couple of ribs right before the start of the tour, and the drummer for Arch Enemy, Daniel

TOADIES are back on the road and this time its in support of their first album in nearly 10 years titled “The Charmer”. Supporting them on this tour is the alternative band LOCAL H and the high energy young band out of Dallas, OLIVE VOX and they all really rocked the Brooklyn Bowl in September. Opening up the show, out of Dallas TX, was the alt rock band OLIVE VOX. It seemed odd to me that two bands that have been around for 40+ years had a group of really young members openi

Powerman 5000 is a Vegas rock touring staple, the band always garners a great crowd ion Vegas, and this show at the House of Blues at Mandalay brought along some great support with Kottonmouth Kings, Julien - K, and local rockers The Far Worst. THE FAR WORST is a local band who has garnered quite a bit of momentum in the past year, and might be the hottest band currently out of Vegas. I have followed this band since they started, and have seen the maturity of their show evolv

As soon as I arrived at the Marquee Theater in Tempe it was evident that this was not going to be your normal concert crowd. The fans arriving early were dressed up in viking attire with everything from face paint to horns on their heads - many in kilts, heavy boots and looked like we were attending a renaissance fair rather than a concert. These fans were passionate, talking about what they were looking forward to seeing on this tour. As soon as the doors opened, many heade

If you LOVE symphonic power metal, the Dark Asylum Tour is a dream lineup, Kamelot has always put on an amazing show, and this time added Visions of Atlantis and Frozen Crown to their US tour. I knew I were in for a special night, and the energy level was high as the crowd filled in the House of Blues in Las Vegas, ready for the show. Symphonic music fans are really into their bands, and it was evident by the excitement in the room. FROZEN CROWN started the night off to a ene

The minute I stepped in the House of Blues in Las Vegas you could tell this was not your typical crowd. Fans of 90’s music are now in their 40s and up, and this show was all about 90’s nostalgia - but these two bands were not resting on that nostalgia, the both gave a phenominal show and continue to put out new music. THE VERVE PIPE brought out a crowd of deeply connected fans who remembered their songs when they were the younger generation listening to the radio. The band wa

From the second this tour was announced, I have counted down the days... Infected Rain has been one of my favs since I first saw them back in May of 2022, and to throw in Stitched Up Heart for this Mutation Phase Tour it was a must see. Opening up the show was local metalcore band Silent Throne (formerly Haddonfeild), a great fit for the show with their dark, heavy tunes. The band established themselves in the regional scene, released their milestone breakout single, "Break A

When it was announced that AESTHETIC PERFECTION was finally coming to Vegas I had no idea what to expect, and to make it even more appealing they were bringing one of my personal favorite bands, JULIAN-K along with PRIEST. The show sold out a few days before their arrival, and I was looking forward to the show. I was a little confused when I saw the PRIEST backdrop get hung up behind the stage, but saw the guys in Julian-K take the stage. But thrilled none the less as this wa

I was very disappointed when I saw that LACUNA COIL was not playing my hometown Vegas on this new SLEEPLESS EMPIRE tour, so I immediately started looking for a city nearby, and decided to head to Phoenix and check out the Van Buren , a nationally historic venue that for the last ten years has hosted an array of music and performances. For this show ESCAPE THE FATE and VOWWS joined the lineup, for a truly metal experience. Australian death-pop duo VOWWS was first on stage,

Once again one of the best thrash bands in the world returned to Vegas and this time headlined at the fantastic Brooklyn Bowl! OVERKILL brought the heat to Las Vegas with he Scorching the Earth World Tour and the Brooklyn Bowl was a fire pit of mosh and metal. Opening up the show were two local bands, MADZILLA & SILENT THORNE , who lit the fuse to get the party started. SILENT THRONE is a very solid metalcore/ rock band that brings great energy and a loyal fan base with th

Crowbar and EyeHateGod returned to Vegas, with a packed show at the Fremont Country Club and support from Vegas' Papsmear . This show was originally going to be held at the rebranded Bizarre Bar (old Swan Dive) but due to larger than expected ticket sales this show was moved to the larger Fremont Country Club in Downtown Las Vegas for a mobbed venue ready for a metal night of music. Kicking off the show was local legendary hardcore boys PAPSMEAR , a 4 piece heavy thrash b

Talk about a stacked lineup for this show! AVATAR returned to Vegas and on this trip they brought two bands I have been highly anticipating seeing - ALIEN WEAPONRY and hometown favs SPIRITWORLD . For a busy Saturday night the Vegas local metalheads turned out in force, packing the Brooklyn Bowl with a long line an hour before the doors even opened. Kicking off the evening was SPIRITWORLD , and when the band hit the stage I thought it was already December and the Rodeo was

Dancing Plague returned to Vegas after a year to The Griffin on downtown Fremont Street, and this time on the bill was darkwave / goth / performance artist Aux Animaux , who I really wanted to see as well. The room at The Griffin is not per say a traditional music venue, but as the promoter describes it a "rock n roll speakeasy". You enter the venue and go into a bar that is all brick arches, with fireplaces going, and looks like a lode up in the mountains. From there you g

This was not a show for the weak, as one of the best all time death metal bands CARCASS returned to the House Of Blues inside of...

The last time I saw NORTHLANE they were opening up for Parkway Drive here in Vegas, and they really left an impression on me. I was...
