GODSMACK 1000HP Live in Las Vegas at the Bakkt Theater with Guest STAIND

GODSMACK roared into Vegas for a SOLD OUT show at the Bakkt Theater at Planet Hollywood, one of their last few dates with STAIND before the fall leg of their Best of Times North American tour. The fans showed up early to check out the opener FLAT BACK with former 5FDP's Jason Hook (review & pics HERE) before the main event.

STAIND with Aaron Lewis started strong with "Lowest in Me" from the upcoming new album Confessions of the Fallen, (slated for release September 15) and into "Not Again", and rambled through years of hits and faves, with the crowd singing and dancing through every song. The connection Lewis makes with the fans is one of a kind, and the emotion was wide open. After Lewis saying 2017 that Staind would never tour extensively

again, well, here we are. Staind will play a few more dates with Godsmack before the next leg, and let's hope it we see them out on a longer touring circuit again, because that was one hell of a show and a tough act to follow, the crowd was on fire.

GODSMACK kicked off full throttle with "When Legends Rise" and straight into "1000hp" to a

frenzy of pyro and pumped up power. This band doesn't have a low gear, it's full on in your face for close to two hours, from the opening riffs of "Legends" , to the "Batalla de los tambores" drum battle between Erna and Larkin, a mainstay of the show.

Included in the set was 2022 #1 hit single "Surrender" from their 2023 release Lighting Up The Sky, a journey through Erna's career and self, which he has stated will be the band's last record. "You and I" from

the album was also in the set, but the remainder focused on an array of their number 1 hit singles (they have an amazing 12... is it 12?!!)

Erna has an insane stamina, not only singing and playing guitar (and drums) but, well, he does like to talk, winding up the crowd. joking and telling tales, and keeping the energy high. The band only slows things down for the moving "Under Your Scars" before wrapping up the night with "Bulletproof" and "I Stand Alone" to a full confetti storm.

Godsmack is back out on the next leg of their tour with varying support from Atreyu, I Prevail and again Jason Hook's Flat Black. More info on openers, dates, and Tickets HERE
