KAMELOT DARK ASYLUM TOUR WOWS at HOB LV WITH GUESTS VISIONS OF ATLANTIS and FROZEN CROWN

If you LOVE symphonic power metal, the Dark Asylum Tour is a dream lineup, Kamelot has always put on an amazing show, and this time added Visions of Atlantis and Frozen Crown to their US tour. I knew I were in for a special night, and the energy level was high as the crowd filled in the House of Blues in Las Vegas, ready for the show. Symphonic music fans are really into their bands, and it was evident by the excitement in the room.

FROZEN CROWN started the night off to a energetic start, on their first ever USA tour and making quite an impact. The band hails from Milan, Italy and features an impressive lineup, with Aleksandria “Lioness” Stamenkovic, a serbian shredder who has taken over duties as lead guitarist, and guitarist/vocalist Federico Mondelli and guitarist Alessia Lanzone, a young up and coming force. Giada “Jade” Etro is amazing on vocals, and has such incredible stage presence as the leads from center stage. Francesco Zof on bass and drummer Niso Tomasini make for a solid foundation, and the coreography and showmanship sets a bar.

The band is signed to Napalm Records and have a new album The Legend of the Six Kings due for release in early October, and we got to hear several new songs slated for this album in the short set, including “ Who Wants To Burn In Heaven” and "Reborn". They also had a surprize cover of the Goo Goo Dolls “Iris” and closed out their show with “I Am the Tyrant” to cheers. For their first US tour the made a great impression, and I am now a huge fan. It has been a few years since I last saw VISIONS of ATLANTIS so I was looking forward to seeing what this band of pirates have been up to. Visions is an Austrian themed pirate band formed back in 2000 and features the dynamic duo of Michele Guaitoli and Clementine Delauney on vocals. On drums is the only original member in Thomas Caser, accompanied by bassist Herbert Glos and guitarist Christian Douscha. The band dress in various pirate themed outfits against a visual backdrop that mimics a pirate ship. The production is immaculate, and the show flows like story weaving.

The visuals alone held your attention, and the back and forth vocals between Clementine and Michele were just perfect, they complimented each other so well. This is a well balanced show between the extensive stage sets, and the stunning vocals, and it's easy to see why this band was support for this Kamelot tour - a perfect companion.

Visions of Atlantis are signed to Napalm Records and released their newest album Armada - An Orchestral Voyage earlier this year 2026, a full instrumental reinterpretation of their 2024 studio release, Pirates II – Armada. Check it out and more HERE.

The anticipation was building for the band KAMELOT to take to the stage. Kamelot has one an incredible stage setup and production for a touring band, the backdrop looked like the inside of an old gothic asylum with risers and podiums that were used throughout the show. Kamelot uses lots of dramatic lighting and heavy bursts of smoke throughout their set, and it is like going on a musical journey with the staging, vocalists and overall presentation.

Kamelot is Tommy Karevik on vocals, Thomas Youngblood on guitars, Oliver Palotai on keys and guitars, Sean Tibbetts on bass and Alex Landenberg on drums, but they also incorporate Giada from Frozen Crown and Clementine from Visions of Atlantis into different parts of their show, with lots of costumes changes and themes.

The band opened with “Ashen World” off their new album Dark Asylum - the song live featured Frozen Crown's Giada, along with Tommy Karevik, and the who just blew us away with their amazing voices. One of the highlights for me, was near the end of the show for “Sanctuary”, that featured Tommy as well as both Giada and Clementine on vocals. Tommy was wearing a dark hooded jacket and sitting on a gothic throne, and standing next to him the tall, stunning Clementine was also in black with a black hooded crown, and became one of the more visually stunning moments of the show. With Giada joining in it was an epic piece.

Kamelots' set is fairly long, and the large extravagant production felt part concert and part play. It is really an experience to see all three of these talented symphonic bands, and they have all made a lifelong fan in me. More on Kamelot, the tour and music HERE.
